Ambient Media Tricks

There are many ways to promote things these days.  Ambient media is in fact the label being used for all these new ways of advertising.

Ambient media is the use of advertising without using the traditional ways of promoting something like television, radio or newspapers. It is highly creative, not that televisions are not creative, but
 it is creative in a way because it does not have a ready made template like a television commercial.

Television commercials for example have a thirty second time limit and it has to be visual. Same thing with radio, although the emphasis on radio commercials is on sound. In ambient media however, it could be anything. It could be something to be seen or something to be heard or both.

It does not follow a time limitation and you do not need a ready-made device to see it or experience it.

This is why ambient media is known to be a very different procedure in doing things.

There are many ways that ambient media can be done and it is not confined t one specific medium. One such example of the unconventionality of ambient media is the use of highway signs. This is a form of ambient media as one would initially think that they are looking at a road sign when in fact the only direction that is written there are directions towards a store or restaurant.

One may not know that this is ambient media but it is. It is not a mere advertisement but it was posted in a way to trick you in a way before you realize what it actually is. This is how ambient media works. A lot of ambient media examples involve a little bit of trickery to go along with the unconventionality.

The trickery in fact does not hurt ambient media. It does no harm but rather it helps it. In a way, people like the effort that was put in. It makes them feel a little bit more special that people would think of ways to capture their attention. This is what ambient media relies on.

They want to show people things without them being too aware that they are being enticed.

Traditional media is still useful. Traditional media establishes a lot of companies to the stature they are in. It is important to realize that the people will not forget about traditional media.
