Ambient media has slowly become more and more popular these days. Companies want to get to the consumers faster than ever and the only way to do it is through ambient media. It used to be that the best places to advertise is through the radio and television but a lot of people have been tuning out as of late. This is because there are a lot more sources of entertainment these days and therefore they are more distracted by other things to be attentive to what is being shown on television. This is why people in the advertising business have become more experimental as they try to recapture a lost audience. They understand that people need to be captured these days. They are not just going to sit down and wait for you to show them something. They understand that people will easily look the other way and the best way to catch them is to catch them off guard,

Basically, this is what ambient media is. This is a form of media that is outside the traditional forms of media such as radio, television, newspapers and even the internet.
